The traditional music of the Cambodian streets is not well known and the possibilities of its diffusion have been limited. However the artists who create it every day, adapting traditional melodies and telling personal experiences are talented. Their tradition of street music is an integral part of the revival of the shared heritage. For this reason the Center for Audiovisual Resources has chosen to support this movement by recording a CD accompanied by a 40-page text that evokes these singers’ daily life and experiences.
